Ungheni district hosted Stage III of the National Off-Road Championship (CNOR-FARM 2026) over the weekend. The start list included 57 crews — driver and co-driver — from 10 clubs, according to data from the official website cnor.md.
The competition took place on 22–23 August and comprised two events: on Saturday, the GPS Orientation Track through rough terrain, with the start at 11.00 and the course closing between 14.00 and 15.00; on Sunday, the Trial — a short technical course with obstacles, open to the public, from 10.00 to 17.00.

Who organised and who competed
The host club is AO Bizon Off Road Ungheni, led by Antoci Oleg, the competition director and himself a participant in the Trial event, with a vehicle named “Mary” in the Open class.
The 57 crews competed in seven classes: Turism (10 crews), Open (10), Extreme (9), Standard (9), UTV (7), Junior (6), and ATV (6). The largest club at the start was JEEP TRAVEL, followed by URSU OFF ROAD, GARAGE 4x4, and BALȚI 4x4. Some crews competed without affiliation to any club.
From the host club BIZON OFF ROAD, three crews participated: Rusu Teodor with Belenciuc Maxim (Nissan Patrol, Open), Beschieru Andrei with Nicolae Antoșciuc (Polaris RZR Turbo R, UTV), and Antoci Oleg with Covrig Serghei (Trial).

From Bălți to Cojușna: a championship’s geography
The start list shows the geographic diversity of the participants. Alongside clubs based in Chișinău (JEEP TRAVEL, GARAGE 4x4), crews competed from Bălți (BALȚI 4x4, with four crews), Zloti (CLUB OFF ROAD ZLOTI, three crews), Cojușna (ATV COJUSNA), as well as NISSAN PATROL (three crews) and PICKUP 4x4. The Junior class brought six crews to the start; according to the regulations, the co-driver may be as young as 16, with a notarised parental declaration, while the driver must hold a category B driving licence.

Context: a summer of motor sport in Ungheni
The off-road stage is part of a packed sporting calendar for the district. On 30 August, the National Motocross Championship follows, and on 19–20 September, the Balkan Motocross Championship. According to Telegraph.md, district president Dionisie Ternovschi convened an organisational meeting with representatives of the BIZON OFF ROAD club and local institutions to prepare for the competition.
