Ungheni City Hall announced on August 26 the traffic restrictions for the City Days period (August 27–31). Two streets in the city center are closed to motor traffic.
What closes and when
- Națională street — the Alexandru cel Bun – Vasile Alecsandri section: closed from August 27, 09.00, until August 31, 12.00.
- Feroviară street: closed for the entire period of August 26–31.
Ban on bicycles and scooters
On Națională street, during the restriction period, bicycles and scooters are also banned — not just cars.
Why
Road traffic is halted “to ensure the safety of participants and the smooth running of events during the Ungheni City Days,” according to the City Hall’s announcement.
