58 athletes from Chișinău, Hîncești, Bălți and Transnistria competed on Saturday, August 30, on the motocross track at Valea Rusului, in the third round of the Republic of Moldova championship. Riders from age 4 and up raced in 14 motorcycle categories, from 50 cc to 450 cc. Entry was free.
The Motorcycling Federation of the Republic of Moldova communicated the results at Triunghi.md’s request, via organiser Ion Poia.

Alexandru Ermurache won two classes: Beginners and Open. The federation’s communiqué lists the Open class twice with different winners — Golovitchin Mihail and Ermurache Alexandru; the distinction between the two was not specified. Full standings (2nd and 3rd places) across all 14 categories were not made public.
On the track from age 4
Three classes were for children: 50 cc (ages 4–9), 65 cc (ages 9–12) and 85 cc (ages 12–15). The rest — Open, Amateurs, Beginners, Hobby, Veterans, ATV — were for adults.
Athletes came from Chișinău, Hîncești, Bălți and Transnistria. No rider from Ungheni district appears in the winners’ list provided by the organiser.
At the first round of the 2024 season, on the Schinoasa track in Chișinău, 59 riders had competed, while at the inauguration of the Ungheni track in August 2025, around 70 athletes were expected.
Second edition on the Ungheni track
The event poster called the competition the “2nd edition” — a reference to the Valea Rusului track, opened in August 2025. The federation calls it the third of five rounds of the national championship; the calendar also includes an earlier round in Bender, on June 28.
Where the track is
The track is located in the Valea Rusului area, at the entrance to the Dănuțeni neighbourhood from Cetireni, according to information from the city hall at the 2025 opening. It was built with equipment from SRL “Servicii Comunale” Ungheni and dozens of volunteers.
The organiser and initiator, in a personal capacity, is Ion Poia, head of the Ungheni Territorial Office of the State Chancellery. The Ungheni District Council is a partner of the event.

What’s next: the Balkan Championship on September 19–20
The fourth round of the national championship is scheduled for September 6 in Chișinău, at the Schinoasa track. The big event comes on September 19–20, again in Ungheni: round 7 of the Balkan Motocross Championship — one of 9 rounds in 2026, held in 6 countries. The calendar, published by the Balkan Motorcycling Union, confirms Ungheni as the only venue in the Republic of Moldova.
What the track looked like at the previous edition
A clip filmed in 2025 at the Ungheni track, published on YouTube by the “Rares -rares.petru-” channel: the track carved into a natural valley, spectators gathered all around.
