A man found unconscious on Suceava Street in Ungheni was taken to hospital after carabinieri on patrol spotted him. According to the General Inspectorate of Carabinieri, the Ungheni mobile intervention company’s team called 112, stayed with the man and monitored the situation until the ambulance arrived. Medics took him to the Ungheni District Hospital for care.

One simple, useful thing to remember: the single emergency number 112 works for anyone who comes across such a situation — a person collapsed, unconscious, in need of help. You do not need to be in uniform to do exactly what the carabinieri did.
