CTP Cluj-Napoca donated two Renault coaches and a Ford minibus to the municipality of Ungheni. With today's batch, total transport donations reach eight vehicles in ten years of cooperation.
The Cluj-Napoca Local Council voted on 20 July to give 593,000 Romanian lei (RON) for the development of the promenade on Lake Delia in Ungheni. The financing agreement, annexed to the decision of the Ungheni Municipal Council, shows that the first stage costs €288,387.80 — about 5.8 million Moldovan lei (MDL) — and that the Cluj share amounts to €113,247.88, that is 39.3% of the total. The remaining 60.7% is paid by Ungheni. The contract was awarded back in May to SRL Balt-Cons of Pîrlița, for 5,759,683.36 Moldovan lei including VAT, and the request to Cluj had gone out as early as December.
On Sunday, three ensembles turned the stage in Micul Cluj Park into an evening of dance and song, under the “Cultural Summer in the Park” banner of the House of Culture. Beyond the “Hai la Joc și voie bună” show, the story is about how a park named in honour of the twin city of Cluj-Napoca has become, summer after summer, Ungheni's great open-air hall — and the next big event is the Sânziene festival, on 5 July.
