The Anti-Drug Directorate detained him at his home in Ungheni after about a month of surveillance: police say he collected drugs in bulk, portioned them in a rented flat in Chișinău and hid them around the city for a shop that sells on Telegram. Police announced the value of the goods — over 50,000 lei — but not the quantity in grams, the one figure that decides whether the sentence starts at 2 years or at 7.
