A month after merging the district's health centres — from 11 down to 6 —, the Ungheni District Council is rebuilding their governing boards and inviting doctors who have left the country, as well as people from the community, to take a seat on them. The post carries a vote on the institution's strategy, budget and procurement, but it is unpaid, on a voluntary basis.
