Sculeni adds flashing amber signals and red night lighting at the Ștefan cel Mare crossing — the commune's third reinforced crossing in a month

At one of Sculeni's busiest pedestrian crossings, on the Ștefan cel Mare road, the commune hall has installed two flashing amber signals, and at night the crossing is washed in red projector light. It is the third road-safety intervention in the commune in about a month — after the raised crossing by the lyceum and the painted crossing at Gherman — and each time with a different method.

578 pupils study next to the Sculeni junction where a raised pedestrian crossing now forces cars to slow down

At the junction of Ion Creangă and Alexandru cel Bun streets in Sculeni, next to the theoretical lyceum, the Arts School and the Health Centre, a raised pedestrian crossing has been built — the kind that physically forces drivers to slow down. The work was carried out by the National Roads Administration, after a request that began with local councillor Petru Iacobciuc.
