The new Government's programme names Ungheni five times, all of them on transport. The free zone never appears
Parliament voted on Tuesday the programme of the Cabinet led by Vasile Tofan, and on Wednesday the Government took the oath. In the document's 147 pages, Ungheni district appears five times — the motorway, the railway to Iași, the bridge over the Prut, the link to Chișinău and the Berești logistics hub — all of them on the transport axis — three of them with a 2029 horizon — and with a cautious verb: “first works advanced”, not completed. The free economic zone, which holds almost one in six salaried jobs in the district, is not mentioned even once.
