How the embroidered shirt became a peace tool in Costuleni: refugee and local women at one festival

The village of Costuleni in Ungheni district hosted the festival "Thread by thread — traditions, peace and hand-sewn shirts," closing a community initiative led by a group of women. Beyond the embroidered shirts on display, the event was the visible end of a project funded by UN Women Moldova through the Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund — one that uses craft as a bridge between local women and refugee women.
