34,700 vehicles registered in Ungheni raion, of which 23,527 are cars

At the newsroom's request, the Public Services Agency confirmed the raion's vehicle fleet as of 1 July 2026: 34,700 vehicles, of which 23,527 are cars — over two thirds of the total. These are the figures on which the new homologation law rests, though from 2029 it will apply only to cars brought in after that date. Who will carry out homologation in Ungheni and what it will cost remains, the ASP says, «premature» to determine.
