The government has approved the state order for 2026–2027: state universities are opening 9.013 places with budget funding, and the largest share, as last year, goes to teacher training. For a graduate from Ungheni, the stakes are double — the district enters the new school year with 73 uncovered teaching posts, the fifth-largest shortfall in the country, and admissions, entirely online, start on July 27.
