FCM Ungheni lose 0-1 at Bacău to an own goal — their first test against a Romanian side
The city's club narrowly lost its first pre-season friendly against a team from outside Moldova: 0-1 away to FC Bacău, a Romanian second-division club. The only goal was an own goal by defender Octavian Vatavu after a shot from the hosts. Unlike the matches against Dacia Buiucani and Zimbru, this time Ungheni faced an opponent from their own tier.
