175 kilometres without a motorway from Bacău to Ungheni: Romania opens A7, but the corridor to Moldova remains incomplete

Romania today opened 47 new kilometres on the A7 motorway between Adjud and Bacău — the fourth-longest single-day motorway opening in the country's history. From Bacău to the Sculeni border crossing, 175 kilometres remain on ordinary roads. Pașcani, where A7 was supposed to reach under the NRRP, is estimated only for the summer of 2027.
